Alternatively, you can consider renting a cozy cabin in the mountains for an intimate and rustic wedding experience. Many cabin rentals offer beautiful natural settings right outside the door, allowing you to exchange vows in a serene and picturesque environment without the need for a hike.
DO WE NEED AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION?
Absolutely! Engagement sessions allow you to build a stronger connection with your photographer. We'll get to know each other better, which can help you feel more relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera on your elopement day... not to mention the additional cute photos you'll have beyond the wedding attire pics, where we'll aim to embrace your authentic daily lifestyle!
WHAT IF THERE'S gnarly WEATHER?
The date may not be flexible for either of us, and we can't predict the weather once your date is set. However, you are here because you both have an adventurous spirit. My advice is that your remember that same mindset for your wedding day by embracing whatever the day brings. While a perfect sunset is lovely, the true success of your wedding lies in both of you fully embracing the moment and living it to the fullest. Rain can add a beautiful dimension to your photos, creating memorable and unexpected moments that reflect your adventurous and resilient spirits.
WE'RE OUT OF STATE. HOW DO WE OBTAIN
OUR MARRIAGE LICENSE?
Navigating the legalities in different states or countries can be overwhelming. Remember, you came here for stress-free planning! For a hassle-free approach, handling the paperwork in your home state is often the simplest option. After all, paperwork is just that – paperwork. I firmly believe that your marriage truly takes shape when you exchange vows on the day you've chosen. Knock out the legalities at home beforehand and don't stress the little stuff.
CAN WE INVITE GUESTS TO OUR ELOPEMENT?
Absolutely! Elopements are all about focusing on the two of you, but if you have supportive family and friends who you'd like to witness and join in your celebration, feel free to include them. Elopements typically involve up to 25 people. DOGS ARE WECLOME FAMILY TOO!
WILL YOU HELP US PLAN?
As the designated planner and coordinator in my personal friend-group, yes, I will absolutely offer my advice and recommendations to make your wedding planning smooth and seamless. I will help with location scouting, vendor recommendations, permit requirements, wedding day timeline, and so on.
HOW MANY IMAGES ARE INCLUDED?
The image count you'll receive is determined by your package you choose. I will not guarantee a hard number, but you can expect to receive approximately 50-75 digital images per hour of shooting. After your wedding day, I'll review each photo one at a time, select your final photos, then edit & deliver them to you. Don't worry, I'll remove any blinking or awkward captures but won't hold back any photos I know you'll love!
WHEN WILL WE RECEIVE OUR PHOTOS?
Because I will be just as excited to see the final photos as you are, I will provide a sneak peak of a few highlights within 24-48 hours of your day.
Depending on the size of your package (more time = more photos to edit), photos can be delivered anywhere between 4-12 weeks.
HOW FAR WILL YOU TRAVEL?
I am based in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western NC, but I have a major bucket list of destination locations!
